Cosplay Masquerade and Cosplay Skits
To sign up for Cosplay Skits, please fill out this online form.
Cosplay Masquerade and Cosplay Skits Rules:
- Anyone can enter, however children under the age of 13 must have parental permission.
- All people wishing to partake in cosplay events must register for the event in advance at the registrations desk.
- Registrations will be open from the time the doors open until one hour before each event. Anyone who does not register on time can not enter. See timetable for event times.
- Entrants must be behind the stage 15 minutes before the event start time and in the groups they registered in. No changes to groups will be allowed after the end of registrations.
- No costume is no costume. Although there are many popular anime/fiction characters that wear what many would consider "normal clothes," these will not be considered, unless the characters are in a group performances and the rest of the cast is in costume or there is elaborate prop use involved.
- Costumes must meet all the normal cosplay guidelines as outlined in the terms and conditions.
- Group entrants are limited to the following:
Cosplay Masquerade: Group entrants are restricted to a maximum of three people and they must all be from the same anime, manga or game.
Cosplay Skits: Performance groups are limited to seven people, all of which must be in costume. However not all characters need to be from the same anime, manga or game.
- Performances are limited to the following:
Cosplay Masquerade: A Masquerade performance will take the form of an on stage walk-on followed by a short performance of your choice. The maximum allowed time for each entrant is 30 seconds.
Cosplay Skits: The maximum allowed time for each performance is 10 minutes. Any group that has not come off stage after this time will be escorted off.
- Cosplay is an all ages event. This means the harshest language allowed on stage is the harshest language you should expect to hear on Radio Disney. The same goes for subject matter. Cosplay in the main hall should be considered a PG rated event. All music and pre-recorded materials will be screened and any and all violators of this rule will be evicted immediately. Yes, even mid-performance.
- No leaping or climbing on or off the stage.
- Any sort of stage fighting is to be limited to half speed-quarter strength and one foot must remain on the floor at all times.
- What goes on the stage with you, comes off the stage with you. For safety reasons things like confetti, fireworks, flash paper or other forms of pyrotechnics, rose petals, water, and other small messy objects are strictly forbidden from the stage area.
- On stage, (non firing) toy weapons will be allowed without peacebonding but be aware that any "live" weapons will result in an immediate eviction.
- No food, animals or remote control devices are permitted.
- All judges’ decisions are final!
