Art Competition
Eirtakon is pleased to announce that the annual Eirtakon art competition will be held again this year. As with previous years, budding artists can submit their work to be judged by a panel of talented artists, including our guest artist! People interested in entering the competition simply have to bring their artwork to the event registration desk beside the main entry desk on the Saturday or Sunday of the convention.
There are three categories available for the art competition:
Winners will be notified and prizes will be given out Sunday during the closing ceremony. If you are not at the closing ceremony when the winner is announced you will not receive a prize unless you inform the committee in person that you cannot attend.

Rules
Any entry that does not conform to these rules will not be accepted.- Any entrant found to have used part of or the entirety of another person's artwork will be disqualified and banned from future competitions. No copying or tracing of another person's artwork is permitted.
- Artwork must be printed before submission. Printing facilities are not guaranteed to be available at the convention, therefore Eirtakon cannot accept any entries that are not already printed.
- There is a maximum of one entry per person per category.
- Artwork may not exceed A3 in size. A4 is the preferred submission size.
- All entries must be submitted by 2.30pm on the Sunday of the convention.
- The original piece of art must be shown during the submission process. A photocopy of the original may be submitted once the original has been shown.
- Artwork must be suitable for a PG-13 audience, and must not contain any graphic sexual content.
- Artwork must be anime, manga or Japanese game related.
How to Enter
To enter, simply bring your printed artwork to the event registration desk before the deadline on Sunday. Your name and address will be taken as part of the submission form. You may reclaim your artwork following the closing ceremony - if you do not, we will post the artwork to the address given to us when submitted.Winners will be notified and prizes will be given out Sunday during the closing ceremony. If you are not at the closing ceremony when the winner is announced you will not receive a prize unless you inform the committee in person that you cannot attend.
