Model Painting Competition
Eirtakon is pleased to announce that the annual Eirtakon Model Painting competition will be held again this year! Anyone with a knack for detail and a steady paintbrush hand is invited to submit some of their best models to be judged by a panel of model collectors! Last year showcased some serious attention to detail, so we can't wait to see what 2012 has in store.
There are three categories available for the:
Winners will be notified and prizes will be given out Sunday during the closing ceremony. If you are not at the closing ceremony when the winner is announced you will not receive a prize unless you inform the committee in person that you cannot attend.
While in the possession of Eirtakon, the utmost care will be taken not to damage or otherwise alter the entries, however all entries are entered at their owner's risk and Eirtakon, AMS and DCU will not be held liable for any damages.
There are three categories available for the:
- Human Figures - for human, or human-like characters
- Mecha Models - for mechanical models such as giant robots or aircraft
- Under 16s - for any figure or model where the entrant is under 16
Rules
Any entry that does not conform to these rules will not be accepted.- All entries must be the entrant's own work, pre-painted models are not allowed.
- All entries must have been painted by the person submitting the model.
- Pictorial entries are not allowed. The physical model must be submitted.
- There is a maximum of one entry per person per category.
- All entries must be submitted by 2.30pm on the Sunday of the convention.
How to Enter
To enter, simply bring your painted model to the event registration desk before the deadline on Sunday. Your name and address will be taken as part of the submission form. You may reclaim your model following the closing ceremony - if you do not, we will post the artwork to the address given to us when submitted.Winners will be notified and prizes will be given out Sunday during the closing ceremony.
