Cosplay Skits

The Cosplay Skits allow cosplayers and their friends to showcase individual or group performances live on-stage in front of their peers. The Skits are akin to a costumed variety show. This will be the first year to feature a Skits competition, as they will be judged by our cosplay guests, Parlé Productions!


The Cosplay Skits will be a main stage event on Sunday morning. The judging panel will feature our cosplay guests TealPirate and KellyJane from Parlé Productions, with guidance from our Cosplay Coordinators. All skits will be judged on performance alone - costumes and props are not a factor.

Rules

1. Group entries are limited to a maximum of seven people.
2. The maximum allowed stage time is 5 minutes.
3. All costumes must adhere to the guidelines as laid out in the Costume Policy, and all props must adhere to the guidelines as laid out in the Props and Weapons Policy.
4. All performance material must be suitable for a PG-13 audience. No harsh language will be permitted, and all music and pre-recorded materials will be screened prior to performance. Anyone violating this rule will be immediately disqualified, including mid-performance.
5. All material brought onto the stage must be brought off immediately after performance without causing any undue delay. For safety reasons, items such as food, lasers, flash paper, lighters, confetti, rose petals, water, and other small messy objects are strictly forbidden from the stage area.

To enter a skit in the Cosplay Skits, please fill out and submit the following form. All submissions will be confirmed by e-mail.

In addition, there will be a limited amount of signups taken at the event registrations desk on Sunday morning.
