I am in the Mojo Spade. I started it with my friend, but the majority of stuff I've recorded entirely by myself at home.
I play Guitar mainly, but when I'm recording stuff I play the bass and piano parts accordingly, I also play drums but I don't own a kit so can't record any of that >.<
You can listen to some of the stuff I recorded here: http://www.last.fm/music/Mojo+Spade/Mojo+Spade

I was also in a band called Mongo Movement for a while, we only recorded 1 song and it's up for free download here

i was in a band. playing mainly rory gallagher/megadeth stuff.

i played the drums and the bass at times. bass is pretty easy to pick up, drums is just as easy if you have natural rhythm.

play guitar, harmonica and triangle (:eng101:) but not that well

I used to be in a rock band during my school years, only for Leaving Cert practical music stuff--- just me and my friends though :) First I played elec guitar, then my friend who is a better guitarist, I played elec bass instead. It's fun to play elec bass cuz it's easy and I love the sound of it~~ smooth all the way, heavy or light.

Man, I remembered we played from The Beatles' HELP! to Eagles' Hotel California. Memories.

I really want to start a band in Cork alright. I'd be kind of influence by 80s goth stuff like Bauhaus and 90s alternative like Smashing Pumpkins.

I'd love to play anime music, dress up as Touhous or something that'd be great. There wouldn't be a big enough thing for it though I think. I guess if it was a now and again thing.

I mean, what kind of music and stuff, you might not want to end up in a bluegrass band if electronic renditions of middle eastern style music was more your thing.

Also what do you play etc.

Sader
14th Mar 2010, 16:44
a big variety, i started with the oldies(70's,80's stuff you know) over my dad, then moved onto newer stuff mostly alternative rock which i mostly play, i would like to try jazz maybe, but i wont be able to do that until i get my new bass, as my cat knocked mine and its neck snapped >.>

Siouxsie still looks great, actually. Siouxsie's more punk than goth though.

"Juju" is a great album in terms of the gothier stuff.

Unnamed Giant Catfish

I don't think I've heard those but I probably have. I need to get some more Siouxsie again actually.

I really like the live version of "Cities in Dust" I had for a while. The album version was okay but the live has some awesome guitar on it.

Hahahaha.

Personally I hate it more when on music forums I hear the older guys saying "Wifey".

There's something inherently anti-romantic about the idea of a "wife" or "husband" I think. It's like the end of the journey. So some guys try to make it sound cuter, and it just sounds awkward to me.

I know what you mean. Like, where's the romance in wanting to commit yourself to the person you love for the rest of your life.
Oh wait!

I think you're just being a bit smart. On average, would you consider most married couples to be highly romantic? Probably not.

"Alternative" relationships seem to do better a lot of the time.

My grandparents were married for 50 years. They still did little romantic things for each other. It depends on the people in the relationship that make it work or not.

My parents, grandparents, and sister all have romantic marriages, while the entire concept of non arranged marriages is based on love and romance.
Like Lance said, it depends on the people involved and I say say those who are involved in romanceless marriages are doing it wrong.

Besides, any relationship, married or partnership, depends on romance. One is not more romantic than the other.

My grandparents were married for 50 years. They still did little romantic things for each other. It depends on the people in the relationship that make it work or not.

When this question gets asked, people usually give one or two examples. I think that in of itself kind of proves my point - if marriage were romantic, you wouldn't need to list off exceptions.

I think the problem is people try to shove every relationship in the same box. Like for example - "Oh I'm married now, I can't do this." I mean, what the fuck? If that's truly the person that loves you they wouldn't mind. It's all about the compromise and nothing about the harmony. I think that's probably why a lot of marriages fail, even though a lot of people act like it makes them more "grown up", just like a lot of otherwise indefensible things "grown ups" do.

When most people get married it just seems to be the end; with a bit of an epilogue until they have kids then it's completely over. It's frustrating and a little depressing. Ever since my sister got married she does pretty much nothing.

i've been practicing some jrock and jpop on the drums. never realised how complicated some of the drum rolls are in some of the songs!

i play guitar too, what i seem to notice is that guitar pickups are very easy, drums are ok with some complicated drum rolls, and the basslines are overexaggerated and a lot of notes are just fillers. but its pretty awesome stuff. might try and upload a video or two of some drum performances in a few songs

Just the one track, and its fairly old, but funky in its own way. Palatable to those who dig their bass sounding fairly dirty...
