Please anime/manga/cosplay/lolita/videogame fans:

DON'T GO MAKING THREADS ON SPREADING HATE OVER ONE CON etc IN CGL!

This is disappointing while Ireland is gaining popularity in anime/manga and japanese youth fashion/music interest. If you hate this X con and prefer Y con, keep it to yourself and to your close mates--- it's nothing wrong if kept private. When it's public, you're just upsetting the majority off! Don't abuse your freedom of speech just like that, anon! Go meditate like those zen buddhists if you really want a peace of mind! :colbert:

I agree with E K Dante. Stop treating 4chan like it is bebo. I hate the internet because of the drama between friends, fighting which con is better, spreading privacy to the whole world. Really tired of it.

How do you think this makes you look???? Control the staff and get them to cop on. Its not making them look nice and its properly starting arguments now. All current cons have been mentioned and its looking bad for everyone.

Cons are meant to be about fans of a niche getting together and sharing in your weird yet wonderful hobbie. Now im starting to despise it. Good job

Wait, is there any evidence a staff member said that? If it's true then that's a very serious claim that will have to be dealt with by the Eirtakon committee.

I hate that a few attendees seem to think there's a deep rooted rivalry and hatred on a committee level between the different cons in Ireland; it's quite the contrary. We all get on very well and a lot of us are good friends, most of the stuff I've readon the /cgl/ threads is imagined. Like Butterscotch says can't we all just get along!

Can we all not let this be water under the bridge we all like anime and video games why should someone fall out with another person just because they were making a stupid joke that was taken too personally or taken the wrong way. Surely we are better than that and we dont have to keep making acusations about things that may or may not have even been said or happened?

Just my opinion but by posting this initial thread you have given people the oportunity to dig this up again when things were starting to calm down a bit. Everyone is trying there best so lets just try to move on.

Conventions are like weddings, 21sts (or occasionally funerals), in that you see people you maybe only get to see once a year get nostalgic over old memories make new memories and make new friends and have a good time.
