Though only two episodes in, I've been really enjoying this! The colours are bright and cheerful, the characters are crazy (and hillarious) and Hiroshi Kamiya is great as The Recruit.
I hope it keeps up like this an doesn't fall to the side like the majority of shows I have been enjoying :S

While for the better part I find nothing amusing about this show (I believe I laughed once in episode two and not a single time during the manga) I do find that some of the stranger looking characters compelling/interesting to look at in a surrealistic way. Other than that this is just another example of studio shaft employ the exact same visual style again masking poor animation, with the much of same voice actors in the lead roles. They also have a habit of adapting the same type of series too if memory serves me correctly.
All this is of course my opinion. The creativity of some of the appearances of some of those characters I mentioned may very well be enough for me to continue watching.

Awesome show. Didn't realise that it was by the same guy that did Saint Young Men until I looked it up. :awesome:

As much as I hate Star, he is one of the funniest characters I've seen to date!

As it turns out the creator of Arakawa is female. Surprised the hell out me actually. Same could be said of my reaction when I found out a woman did kodomo no jikan and b gata h kei.
Upon re-watching the available episodes as I mentioned before in another thread this series really grew on me. I particularly like the man-nun.

Doesn't really surprise me.
More likely than a man coming up with a character like Nino.
