Well,the title says it all really! But,i see the Eirtakon convention is coming up soon,none of my mates like anime,will i be shunned into a dark corner if i turn up by myself and walk around? lol. I have obviously never been before and know none of you!

Definitely not! We're all friendly here, no-one gets shunned into the corner if they're on their own (at least I hope not :P)

You'll get to know people very quickly, especially at the anime screenings, if AMS last night was anything to go by :D

It's easy to get talking to people, in fact most people will try talk to you, especially if you're wearing Cosply or playing multiplayer on some of the games consoles.

Not at all, that's how I attended the first Eirtakon, I got chatting to a few people, they turned out to be staff, now I'm staff myself. It's easy to get to know alot of people at Eirtakon, especially considering alot of the attendees post here also. It's a great way to keep in touch.

To put it in perspective at the first Eirtakon I attended I ended up as ad hoc staff and the following year I was Con-Director....a bit of an extreme example but I made a lot of my current friends over the course of Eirtakons since

Lol,i am not related to Bob Monkhouse,its just the username i use on all forums. It originated from him though,i used to just call myself Bob when i couldn't think of names for forums or internet stuff so Monkhouse just felt like a natural progression. :tongues:

Get yourself a table in the AA and look busy. You're not a loner, you're just too preoccupied to pal about.

You'll all be fine. Everyone at the con is really friendly. I went with friends on the friday, but went alone the rest of the weekend. You'll easily be able to make friends. XD Everyones usually interested in the same thing there.

If you need to talk to peoples! Feel free to talk to me. I'll be there as Street Fighter Ken, Zack Fair from FF7 or Yondaime from Naruto OR Kira from Death Note. XD
