What would have been the best match you've ever seen and who d'ya reckon is the best athlete in Japanese pro-wrestling today?

I love it. So much more enjoyable IMO.
My best match would be either Misawa/Kawada from June 94 or Misawa/Kobashi from January 97.
As far as today goes, I like Marufuji and Minoru Suzuki, but no-one really compares to the guys from the 90's right now.

Was that one of the AJPW Championship Carnival encounters? If so, that match was indeed a 5-star effort from both men...Misawa's passing came far too soon, what a performer that man was.

Ever see the Marafuji v Kenta match (well, can't remember which one it was) where the two of them basically beat the shit out of each other for a good 33 minutes or so? Sterling stuff...

I think both matches I mentioned were Triple Crown ones.
I vaguely remember that Marufuji/Kenta one, but its been a good while since I saw it!

Check it out, man. The two lads actually beat the living daylights out of each other and it was glorious. Between the technical wrestling and the high flying spots, we behold a righteous spate of martial arts based kicks and lots of smackings that you could feel even a few thousand miles away.

I think it was the NOAH scrap from '06. Serious ass-kickings handed out.
