It's out the 25 of this month. Who's getting one? It really does look incredible and I think it will live up to the hype.
Its as great as they claimed it was.
However it really takes a toll on the eyes, they tend to get a bit sore after a while playing. Its a little frustrating having to take a break every 30-40 mins or so.

Are you saying you already have one?
My local Game store have two that they are using to promote its release allowing people to play it. Knowing most of the staff also meant I could spend more than 5 mins looking at it.

The only downside is that when I trade in my DS Lite I won't be able to play my GBA games anymore. Does anyone know if RAGE sells GBAs and roughly how much do they cost?

I'm not planning on getting one for a while, but if an awesome bundle comes out and I get my tax rebate, I may splash out on one. Otherwise, I'll wait until later in the year so more games and colours come out.

You can pick up an SP in game shops for like €5. I'll be picking on eup when Zelda comes out.

Holy crap. They're practically giving them away at that price. Hope I can get the NES edition of the GBA.

I heard the 3DS virtual console is getting Turbo grafx/PC Engine games for download. Nintendo really should make NES and SNES games for download too.

Eh, the SP's backlight it kinda crap compared to the DS. Are there many Micros about these days?

I only have a classic DS, never saw a need to upgrade, so I can potentially play GBA games whenever I want.
I use my GBA SP for it though. It's just such a nifty little device.

I was replying to Inner Vessel's Post about trading in the DSlite for the 3DS. No GBA games on the ol' 3DS. Was just a suggestion.

Does anyone know what's the story with Dead or Alive Dimensions? I was told it's supposed to be out on the 25th, with the console, now no one seems to have a clue when it's out and there's contradicting info on the net.
The hardware really is amazing but I have to say the launch line up is pretty weak. Street fighter, P.E.S. and Ridge racer...great games but we've already played them. Same with Ocarina of time and Starfox. I hope they won't be charging 45 Euro for graphically updated N64 games. Then again they charged 30 Euro for a rom of a Snes game last Xmas.
Weak start titles wise but once developers get to grips with the hardware and the second wave of games come out it will be amazing.

Samurai Warriors is on the opening lineup. That sold it to me tbh

I don't have the money to pick one up on launch day, but I'd like to wait and get a special Zelda edition one or something if they do one. Or a green one.
Played it a week ago. Very fun. Didn't play it for too long though, maybe 10 minutes? Wont be trading in anything for it. That's silly. [/Collector] >>

Just thought I'd let you all know that HMV seems to be doing the best deal by far. 270 Euro with the console and Street fighter IV. You also get a twenty Euro voucher. They are giving about seventy Euro trade in value on DS lite compared to about forty in Game and Game stop.

Apparently Nintendo are charging full price for OOT and Lylat wars...bit disappointed by that. Great games sure, but at the end of the day they are fifteen year old N64 remakes. It's not like they had to start development from scratch. Don't get my wrong. I love these games but still...
Personally, I'm more looking forward to Dead or alive: Dimensions and the virtual console for Links Awakening DX, both in late May. We'll get a browser in late May too.

I wouldn't expect any less than charging full price. Its a great game. It may be old but its a good one.

Finally...Dead or Alive: Dimensions has a release date. It was supposed to be released when the 3DS launched. I heard the recent disasters in Japan held it's release back on home soil.

Must admit since getting a 3ds I've been impressed, I only bought one game as the others didn't really stand out but the port of Super Street Fighter is pretty damn good. Can't wait for June however so I can get the Resident evil games and of course with Mario Kart and such coming I can see a long relationship with me and my little 3ds

Well I looked all over the place and the cheapest was E 30. It was in pretty bad shape so I got an sp that was in almost mint condition for E 40 instead in another shop. (How the hell do you do the Euro sign on the keyboard?)
I must say I love the design of the SP. It's like a portable Snes that's nearly as small as a mobile phone. Coolest looking hand held ever.

Yeah Mario Kart, Resident evil, DOA and the two new Mario games will be fantastic. Does anyone know how to get the old street fighter music on SSFIV?
I heard you can do it by winning arcade mode like in the console ports but nothing happened for me.

Virtual console was finally released. It's great to be able to play Links Awakening again. Shame the browser doesn't support flash.

Did anyone else get this? It's got so much potential but not too many great first gen games. The good thing is the games are all reduced by up to 50%.

I got one a month and a half ago. Loving it so far. Got Zelda, Ridge Racer 3D, Pilotwings and Puzzle Bobble. Managed to get 99 Miis via StreetPass for far, around 70 of which was in just one day when I went to Summer of Sonic in London.

Big news. The price of the 3DS is going down to about E180 in a few weeks. To compensate early adopters we're getting ten free NES games to download in September and ten free Game boy advance games to download before the end of the year, so long as you access the virtual console online before the price reduction.

Cheers nintendo, for old games that aren't even that good anymore.
Id be more excited if they weren't already sitting in my emulator folder on my hard drive.
My 3DS is a paperweight, pedometer and a camera with one good game and thats DoA Dimensions.
Really regret buying mine. I get more use out of the camera than anything else, but thats mostly for the novelty of taking 3D pics.

Well I know it's a matter of taste but I really prefer retro games, especially SNES/GBA games to a lot of modern games. I know what you mean about the emulator thing but at least having them on a 3DS makes them truly portable.
The launch line up and the first wave of games has been really bad though...
When two N64 remakes are the flap ship games it's not exactly a great sign.
Still, I remember when the PS2 first came out and people said the same thing.
The first wave of games were awful, just graphically improved sequels to PS1 games-Ridge Racer 5, Tekken tag and Street fighter ex 3. What I'm really disappointed about is how poor the virtual console shop has been. There's so many good GB/GBC games to choose from and we get a one or two a week and most of them have been average and obscure-Qiz, fortified zone and Alley way.
I think this Xmas will be when it starts to take off with Mario Kart, Sonic Generations and a new Mario platform game. Nintendo really should make a new F-Zero game for the 3DS. It would suit the medium perfectly and it's been ages since we've had an F-Zero game.
