Default Bronies Unite :D (My Little Pony Fans)

Ok now I have a confession. I just started MLP:Friendship is magic and Im hooked. MLP was a strange yet big adult fanbase of mostly middle age men called bronies, a awesome name . In England there is ponycon every year which celebrates this love of cute ponies doing cute things

I don't think MLP really has that many "Middle aged male" fans, you're making it sound a bit creepier than it is, lol. Most of the male fans are teens(late teens of course, earlier teens are too determined to be hurr manly) or college age, and it's still largely girls that like it.

What are the jokes in this series that endears it to the hearts of male audience?
All I've seen/heard of it just reminds me of the old 80's stuff,
and like most stuff from the 80's...it was bad.

Never knew they were popular with some middle aged men. I wonder is it related to the mid life crisis; a form of temporary escapism from the pressures of the adult male gender? There's a con for everything these days. As a child I really liked them. It's nice seeing pictures of them for the nostalgia factor.

90s is my favourite Decade, had the best kids cartoons; X-men, Spider-man, Transformes Beast Wars(though I didn't watch it when it was airing, watched it in college), Animaniacs, Reboot, etc.

The 90s were a time that really tickled my imagination, even when I look back at things I don't remember/nostalgia over as a kid. I feel depressed at this current soulless day and age

But we have good MLP now at least

But I, being poor, have only my dreams. I have spread my dreams beneath your feet. Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
