What the flying fuck.

That news reporter was PURE IGNORANT. So, rather than those geeks spending hundreds of their hard-earned cash on cosplays and merchandises and handmade goods, wahey throw their money to 'better' things i.e. subscribed charity and possibly stock trade

I am no avid cosplayer, not even a bloody geek and I only attend cons in Dublin, but COME ON--- watching that had shocked me, that reporter was ignorant, the questions are truly embarrassing, only there to provoke congoers' reaction, in the name of entertainment.

I guess it sounds PHWOAR that Comic Con hiked their 4-day ticket price, but we all know that they have more awesome things, so that should be worth paying for. As long as the congoers saved up their money, what more should we say about it? Better than wasting their money and lives away on booze and drugs like most homeless people ended up there.

I'm sure big conventions pay taxes. That's contributing to the economy.

It is alittle interesting hearing different views either negative or positve but I think the reporter is looking into it way too far.


Asking why people spend lots of money at conventions, merchanise and cosplay when they could be contrubiting to charity or "more important things", that is pretty much like asking why do people invest lots of money into weddings and special occasions when they are thousands of starving and homeless people.. or asking why do people choose to buy themselves nice meals and don't give it away to a homeless person. The cosplayer she was interviewing pretty much hit the nail on the head, yeah people like to treat themselves to special occasions because life is hard but they do give money to charities.

Constructive feedback and even a rant are welcomed here (sure we all need to vent) but the title is misleading and actually looks bad for the forum.

So as a favour to me, would you rename it to something more descriptive and without the word Bitch?
