Code Geass really is fantastic. Blitzed through first season again in three days.

    R2 next!

    You will be disappoint.

Started Kids on the Slope. Pretty great. Need to watch more but I can't find the time.

Rewatched all of Cowboy Bebop. Still one of the finest shows I've seen.

    Tari Tari
    Hyouka
    Sword Art Online
    Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate
    Uchuu Kyoudai

Will probably pick up one or two more before the season ends, or marathon them at the end. Autumn is where it's at though, can't wait!

Enjoyed this. Needed more jazz though.

Kids On The Slope was a breath of fresh air all right, one of the better shows from the last season.

I've also been catching up with Fujiko Mine. Not read any of the Lupin manga, but I'm lead to believe this is closer to original vision of Lupin (ie: a world populated by completely amoral, backstabbing characters - thieves, after all). If your only exposure to Lupin is films like Castle of Cagliostro or some of the TV specials, you might be in for a surprise.

Additionally, I've been working my way through Rose Of Versailles. The sheer amount of histrionics on display is overwhelming at times, I'm pretty sure you can actually hear the voice actors munching on the scenery and most episodes end with dramatic still shots. Great stuff, nonetheless, I'll be interested to see how they work the french revolution into it.

I was not! (for the most part).

I started remembering that I had watched like half of R2 as I was watching it. Thought it was a bit mental and all over the place, but fuck it, sure it's anime. It was never boring, and there was never a morally "just" side. Wonderful, violent exploration of ambition.

It was like Batman meets Macbeth meets Inception.

    Gotta do that soon.

    Edit:

    Kids On The Slope
    Whoa whoa.

"... directed by Shinichirō Watanabe ... music provided by acclaimed composer Yoko Kanno ..."

Fuck me. I cannot obtain this fast enough.

Kids on the Slope was good; though like all these josei-type things, was somewhat bittersweet.

It really was. I was hoping I'd be proved wrong and there would be a somewhat more satisfying resolution to their relationships, but in josei they usually seem to keep things open-ended, which I found disappointing in this case. Great soundtrack, though.

Finished Fate/Zero the other day, such an amazing series. So much darker (and hence more awesome!) than Fate Stay/Night. Currently half way through the Fate route of the visual novel, can't get enough of this series!

    From this season I'm watching:
    Accel World
    Tari Tari
    Kokoro Connect
    Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate
    Hyouka
    Binbougami ga!

Probably start Sword Art Online when I get back from Oz.
Any other recommendations for this season?
    So as I pray,

The VN is great. If you liked Fate/Zero, you'll love Heaven's Feel. It's a pity you found the anime first.

i've been trying to watch yuru yuri lately but i'm really lame at watching anime. i always start series and never end up finishing them unless they're as interesting as selain and higurashi/umineko. maybe i'll finish yuru yuri but it's looking unlikely.
