I probably will when I get enough money to afford to spare €45. Otherwise, I'm fine sticking with L4D1 for the time being. At least until I get nearly all the achievements and playing it is just for bare amusement.

I will buy it sometime around Christmas..

Probably after everyoine has lost interest.

Im with the crowd who feel shafted that its a new game instead of more DLC.

A bit miffed I bought L4D and got 4 missions so I shall be giving this a miss unless it has Borderlands beating potential in multiplayer.

    I shall preorder it!

360 instead of PC this time round. I need more games to play on that thing.

I can't wait to use a melee weapon, I mean...that would've been so much handier in the first game since you're constantly beating back the zombies with your elbows.

Get over yourself. You don't deserve shit from Valve in terms of DLC. They may have revolutionised the DLC market with TF2, but in the end, they can price their content however they damn well please.

Just be glad that they've discovered the secret of releasing multiple games in consecutive years.

[rant]I actually can't get over myself.

I paid 55 quid for this on x-box and now they have just released DLC that I've gotta pay for (The content is free on PC however) when the actual sequel is several weeks away.

Which means the player base shall be diluted when everyone jumps to L4D2 and L4D and its shiny new addons won't be as appealing as they once were a year ago when it was first released. Too little, too late some may say. Typically I wouldn't whine about not getting DLC but then again most companies don't usually promise to provide it.

I think this comment left on a L4D new post summed up the game in my eyes

    2. Left4Dead is based on an old game engine. It has very little content – the smallest selection of weapons, the fewest maps, barely any characters (playable or otherwise).

    3. The game has clearly gone the sports-game route of yearly updates and to appease those that were upset, Valve threw together half a chapter and sold it as the promised DLC. Also from what I understand it was full of problems and glitches.

While none of the above distracts from how much fun you may have had with a game, if games were valued on how much fun they are and not the content and execution, you could argue many games are worth two or three times their cost, and plenty are barely worth paying for at all.
This may seem the bitching of an analy retentive person but Im just so jaded by the money grubbing going on in the games industry these days. [/rant]

Wouldnt it be better to get the PC version? Not only do you get access to the console isnt the game just over all better?

From what I hear from my friend who has L4D1 on the xbox he had to use MS points to get the CC DLC where as it was free on the PC version. A lot of bugs and stuff doesnt get fixed as frequent as the PC version. You cant really download the custom maps that people create. Some of them are quite amazing like Dead Abroad and the new map that just recently came out (but still in Beta) Dead before Dawn, for anyone who's a Dawn of the Dead fan.

Admittingly I've never played the xbox version but this is what I gathered from what my friend's have told me. Also what bout modded servers? some of the mods are actually quite fun like the !perk mod or the !tankbuster mod. Not saying its great for serious game play but IMO a break from the norm is always nice every now and then.

PC all the way if your pc is up for it. thankfully l4d2 doesnt require much juice at all. Much prefer the modding community and free DLC over the 360 version any day.

I just started playing L4D, but I'll certainly be picking up L4D2.
