People excited? I sure am. Cannot wait, day booked off work, midnight opening in Game, Legendary Edition pre-ordered, I'm very much looking forward to it.

Why? I really enjoyed the beta, the improvements in netcode and MM being one of the most drastic improvements, nevermind the evolved sandbox. Love the DMR + Pistol from a competitive standpoint. Playing as an Elite was such an empowering experience as well.
Really enjoyed playing Firefight at Gamescom, the improvements from ODST are great, but it's the combat against Elites that has me really excited for both it and the campaign. They're such tenacious beasts, agressively attacking while maintaining their defences with evade. I had really enjoyable and challenging one on ones, never mind when a Squad drops down.

Anywhoo, anyone else jumping in for the Fall of Reach?

I will be picking it up.

I don't expect much from this. I was never a player of Halo multiplayer so for me it usually has to justify itself with the singleplayer experience, which ODST didn't.

I highly anticipate the final mission of the game. As much grief as I give halo games they always outdo themselves with game finale's.

I fail to see how whats in the spoiler has any bearing on anything. I mean this is a prequel game.

Eric Nyland, who wrote Ghosts of Onyx, has gone on record as saying that the events on Onyx happened before the end of Halo 3 so Onyx wouldn't have had a surface at that point so it wasn't Onyx. Given he's now a writer for 343 Industries I think it's safe to assume if there is a Halo 4 he'll be involved in the writing so he'll probably stick to that story.

It was most likely a Shield World but overall there where 7 of them (7 Swords & 7 Shields) Onyx was one, the one from Halo Wars was another but that still leaves 5 more he could have been falling towards.
