Terms & Conditions

1. Entrance fees for the convention - €12 for one day, €18 for weekend (includes a free t-shirt, while stocks last).
2. File sharing is forbidden within the event venue.
3. The pub quiz of the Friday night is open only to people aged 18 and over.
4. All children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
5. Parents accompaying children under the age of 13 are eligable for free entry.
6. On accompanying a child to the convention, it is assumed that an adult has granted permission to that child to take part in any event (depending on age restrictions) over the convention unless the committee has been notified to the contrary.
7. Screening Rooms will be age rated depending on the showings. Children under the specified age cannot enter unless accompanied by an adult.
8. No alcohol/drugs are allowed on the premises. Offenders will be immediately expelled from the convention centre.
9. During screenings complete silence is expected. Please respect your fellow con-goers.

Cosplay Guidelines:

1. Anyone can enter, however children under the age of 13 must have parental permission.
2. No costume is no costume. And although there are many popular Anime/fiction characters that wear what many would consider "normal clothes," these will not be considered, unless the characters are in a group performances and the rest of the cast is in costume or there is elaborate prop use involved.
3. The wearing of anime or manga inspired costumes is permitted, although no real (or realistic) equipment of any military unit in existence after 1900 is permitted. This especially applies to camouflage trousers and jackets, modern helmets and any Irish Armed Forces equipment.
4. Cast limit: Five person maximum for group performances. More than five is allowed, but only five on stage at a time.
5. No leaping or climbing on or off the stage.
6. Cosplay is an all ages event. This means the harshest language allowed on stage is the harshest language you should expect to hear on Radio Disney. The same goes for subject matter. The Cosplay in the main hall should be considered a PG rated event. All music and pre-recorded materials will be screened and any and all violators of this rule will be evicted immediately. Yes, even mid-performance.
7. What goes on the stage with you, comes off the stage with you. For safety reasons things like confetti, fireworks, flash paper or other forms of pyrotechnics, rose petals, water, and other small messy objects are strictly forbidden from the stage area. On stage, (non firing) toy weapons will be allowed without peacebonding but be aware that any "live" weapons will result in an immediate eviction. Also, no food, animals or remote control devices.
8. Even professionals make dangerous and painful mistakes. Simply put, any sort of stage fighting is to be limited to half speed-quarter strength and, like billiards, one foot must remain on the floor at all times. (This means no jumps, leaps, flips or rolls).
9. Costume weaponry inspired from any anime or manga will be allowed, however, no real, realistically scaled or replica weapons will be permitted at all.
10. Walk-ons are given up to 30 seconds to come out, show off their costume then exit. Use this time as you wish: i.e. smile, wave, sashay to the music, whatever.
11. The Eirtakon Committe reserves the right to judge a costume unacceptable. Costumes or accessories deemed unacceptable must be removed or entry to the event will be refused.
12. Skits, whether it be a single entrant or a group, are given three minutes per performance. The three minute time limit is not negotiable; any entrants insisting on extra time, or who do not leave the stage after the three minute limit, will be disqualified.
